The Teens
From this age group, the platform to start exercising their God-given potentials from within the church is presented to them. They are encouraged to develop their confidence and public speaking skills, which will enable them to function effectively and coherently in the wider society.
We teach and mentor them to imbibe godly character and to explore their talents (grace) fully to the glory of God and to the benefit of humanity, just as Apostle Paul admonished the young Timothy – 1 Timothy 4:12-14.
12 Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
13 Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.
The group meets every Sunday to learn at the feet of our Lord Jesus Christ. Topical issues around the world are discussed, we explain societal issues to these young lads from biblical perspectives. Through the help of the Holy Spirit, we steer their mind away from the corruptions and perversions that pervade our present world.
We challenge them to be diligent, strive for the mastery and attain excellence in all they do, as the Lord admonishes us – Ecclesiastes 9:10 : ‘Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going’.
